Bona, with over a century of hardwood expertise, expanded its reputation into the commercial market with the Commercial System.


A sustainable solution for everyone
With the Bona Commercial System, sustainability meant more than going green. Using safer chemicals and additives, it appealed to facilities prioritizing occupant health while giving Bona a year-round business model. No longer tied to seasonal school and NBA court care, the Commercial System created steady opportunities across commercial facilities every day of the year.

Refining the look & feel
Bona’s two divisions—Retail and Professional—mirrored its Swedish parent company’s structure, with Facility Solutions housed under the latter. I worked within this framework to help build a cohesive global brand system while establishing a concrete visual identity for the Commercial System product line in the commercial market.

Rolling it out at ISSA
Packaging was central to the launch, but success also depended on supporting materials—sell sheets, brochures, and catalogs—that I developed to give sales teams and buyers a clear understanding of the Commercial System’s value in the commercial market.
